    Blood sugar

    Blood sugar 1 hour after lunch today: 103. That's fine, since I ate rather a lot of raclette and then just sat at the computer for an hour.

    More sleep disturbances

    I went through a phase where I would wake up around 5:30 and then doze a bit until I actually got up at 7:00. This went on for a few months. Now for about the past week, I've been sleeping "late". One Sunday I slept until 7:45. Mostly I sleep until 7:00. And I've been having nightmares, or at least bad dreams that wake me up, and then I have a tingly feeling in my legs. Not like they fell asleep, though. More like a really strong tickling that's unpleasant. I am not tired during the day, though, and except for that one night I mentioned before, I don't have trouble falling asleep.

    Sleep problems

    Last night, it was like I was pepped up on caffeine (no, I hadn't had anything like that). I was completely un-tired. I made myself go to bed at 10:30 (I'm usually in bed by 10:00), but I lay there for a couple of hours, and even through the night I never fell deeply asleep and kept waking up. Weird. I wasn't tired during the day today, either.
     
    Forgot to post earlier: I tested my blood sugar 1 hour after lunch (potato salad) on July 18th, and it was a very respectable 87.

    Blood sugar

    Fasting blood sugar before breakfast: 85.
     
    Blood sugar one hour after breakfast: 97. 1 apple, 2/3 cup Müesli, 3/4 cup plain yogurt.

    Blood sugar high today

    Blood sugar one hour after lunch: 109.
     
    I am unhappy with that result. I only had one and a half stuffed peppers with rice and veggies, and one helping of cucumber salad with yogurt and mayonnaise dressing. Not even a piece of fruit. Sad
     
    Blood sugar one hour after snack: 103. I had 2 very sour apricots, 2 Krisprolls with peanut butter, and 2 Dar-Vida. So very low in carbs.
     
    Blood sugar one hour after dinner: 111. I had one stuffed pepper with rice and veggies, about 1/3 cup of carrot salad with oil and vinegar dressing, and 1/3 of an avocado. And I went out and kicked a football around with William for about half an hour.
     
    Blood sugar one hour after evening snack: 103. I had 1 Weetabix, 1 banana, and 1 cup of milk.
     
    I am worried that the diet is no longer enough. Or maybe I have been sitting around too much? But even so, my blood sugar shouldn't be that high for the small amount that I have been eating. This is very depressing, especially because my blood sugar had been good for so long.

    Breakfast blood sugar

    Blood sugar 1 hour and 10 minutes after breakfast: 103. That's actually a bit high, I think, for half a banana, 1 cup of plain yogurt, and 2/3 cup of unsweetened Müesli. I didn't use the honey soap, either. Just the Migros M-Budget liquid soap.

    Blood sugar and honey soap

    Blood sugar one hour after lunch: 93.
     
    Before taking the measurement, I washed my hands with a liquid soap that says it contains honey (it does smell like it), so I wonder if it really does and if so, if there was any sugar residue on my hands that could falsify the blood sugar results.

    Heart again

    I had another episode of heart palpitations this morning. It passed quickly, though.

    Heart palpitations

    I had a few heart palpitations yesterday evening. I guess it's from the slight increase in the Levothyroxine which I made last Saturday. Nothing so far today.

    No more naps

    I used to have to take naps a lot. Some weeks it'd be every afternoon, and definitely every Sunday, if we were at home. I just realized today that I haven't had a nap in months (or maybe I've just forgotten if I have, lol). I just haven't been tired, and even when there's nothing to do, I don't get so listless that a nap sounds like a pretty good thing. So purely subjectively, my quality of life has improved since my diagnoses.
